Quick question for guys with custom MagnaFlow exhaust.
I went to my buddies that is Forman at a exhaust system shop. I it looks like my muffler maybe too large. If you have not seen mine ill post again. I figured after the stock muffler and twin loop was removed, there would be. He's gonna put on the lift Tuesday. But may I see you guys with normal shaped aftermarket mufflers vs N1 style so I can get an idea.
Here's my muffler... No bigger than Megan Racing OE muffler.
Thx in advance fitfreak.net buddies. I know between like minds will figure out.

I do not have that muffler but guessing from your shoe, I would say it's not far from stock as far as size, I think the issue would be where the openings are. There is a lot of room under there though and see no reason it shouldn't work (just might need some creativity). the hard part will be lining up the tip to the proper spot on the bumper, oem the pipe is next to the canister. If I were you, if it's returnable, return it rather than chance not being able to get it to work. If I were me and I am me, I would recommend you tell your guy to try because I kind of want to see what this thing sounds like.

Well I didn't find a rear undercarriage of 2nd Gen but from looking at this 1st Gen, I can't see there bringing a problem. Can anyone with a 2nd Gen please slide underneath the rear of their car to snap some pic, ill so appreciate it. It's so cold for us southeastern erst... 😂. 40degree high with norm in the 60's just don't cut it hehe...
Here is the pic I found. I'll continue looking for 2nd Gen online...
Cheers,

Post #4 has a pick with stock muffler. It will show why the magnaflow would be hard to fit. It would have to go in at an angle to line the tip up with the correct spot on the bumper
