Just curious, do the headlights from a base GE8 fit on a sport? I have seen the sport apparently do not fit on the base, does it work vice versa the same way?

 

Yes they are all cross compatible as long as its from a usdm ge8. I know cause ive done it.

base fit is grey, all ge8. sport is chrome through '11 or '12, black to '14. I put black ones on my polished metal '11 sport after my wife backed into it with the Suburban. She says "you're welcome" every time she sees it.

 

I have a JDM GE8 inbound, looking to send a pair of USDM headlights for projector retrofit. Are you saying the USDM GE8 headlights differ from the JDM? I know the GD model, that was the case, the JDM were shorter, snubbier than the USDM.

Can anyone clarify?

 

Depends on what year the jdm is. They redesigned the headlights in '10, and are an incompatible shape. The older ones will fit the usdm and vice versa, but not perfectly

 

The GE I bought was an 08' model year. I did some research and now see the differences in the front and back end of the car. They look more similar than the GD model so I was fooled into thinking they were the same.

Will look for JDM jazz headlights for retro. Can anyone find the part number for the JDM model to compare to the USDM? I'll search for that too.
