driving lamps on a base 2013

have an 09 sport, son an 013 base & he wants driving lamps like the sport.

he thinks just ordering the sport lamps from bernardi will do the trick ...i say it will not look right...

any suggestions about this application or the use of after market lamps...?

can't seem to talk him away from it.......

thanx.....

Ask him if the DRLs aren't bright enough?

By "driving lamps", do you mean "fog lights"? If not, what exactly?

If it's brighter DRLs he's after, just turn on the low-beam headlights.

Bright fog lights on all the time is a recipe for making other drivers feel ill will towards you and for you having poorer long-distance night driving visibility (from having too much close-by ambient illumination).

Fog lights, as used in the US, are to warn others that the driver's brain is in a fog. The OP's son is a textbook case of this.

he wants the honda kit which dulpicates the driving /fog lites that are on a 09 sport....i refer to these valance mounted ightes as driving lites since they do not have yellow lens. and now he is talking a rear spolier...ugh! i told him if he had wanted all this extra enhancements he would've been better off just paying the $1800.00-2200.00 difference between the base & sport model when we purchased. i'm not encouraging any of this ....it's labor i don't want to do....and he really can't .....not a motor head......and the money needs to be put elsewhere.......

thanx to all for the replys.

There's a separate OEM fog light kit for the base. Don't buy the sport one, they're not the same afaik.

The base kit is made for the base bumper and comes with templates, etc.

Perfect time for your son to learn. He's young, and you can watch a video on youtube for anything nowadays and basically have step by step instructions.

Ditto. Can your son pay for all of this himself, or are you paying for it and enabling him to keep on mooching off of daddy for the rest of his life?
