Please don't be the guy that drives with your fog lights on all the time!

Reading some fog-light related threads made me want to remind folks:

Don't use your fog lights unless there is fog.

Otherwise, you're just blinding other people... and to borrow a bit of UK terminology, you look a pillock.

Rear fog lights are ESPECIALLY annoying on a clear night.

Improperly used fog lights are illegal, and are about as annoying as monster truck pickups that haven't had their headlights aligned.

So in conclusion, please don't be that guy. Thanks.

I agree with you, but driving with headlights and fogs on 24/7 seems to be a new "style", like you are not properly dressed unless every exterior light is burning. Not my style- I don't like having to replace bulbs from overuse.

On the other hand, I use my fogs occasionally when there is no fog, as cornering lights in the mountains at night. Mine are properly aimed and do not blind anybody.

Are you a police officer or something lol. The fog lights on the fit arent blinding from what ive seen. Check out the new Acura MDX's, whenever the engines on there Fogs are on..no option, so how is it not legal?

Perhaps a better word is: annoy with unnecessary light output and reduce the ability of others to see objects that are not as brightly lit.

Most places have regulations against using your fog lights unnecessarily. I actually had another driver pull up to me at a stoplight once I exited the freeway and start yelling at me when I was living in Germany for using my fog-lights as Autobahn driving lights.

CA Vehicle code regarding rear foglights:
24602. (a) A vehicle may be equipped with not more than two red fog
taillamps mounted on the rear which may be lighted, in addition to
the required taillamps, only when atmospheric conditions, such as
fog, rain, snow, smoke, or dust, reduce the daytime or nighttime
visibility of other vehicles to less than 500 feet.

I wasn't able to find anything yet regarding front foglamps in CA, but you get the idea...

you have to be laying in the middle of the road on your stomach to be blinded by the fit's fog lights.

they are aimed really low.

You should be more concerned with people using 12000k HIDs.

I'm just curious as to how people don't feel like they're a tool driving around with fog lights on and no fog... it just screams, "HEY! I GOT FOGLIGHTS! LOOK AT ME. I WISH I HAD SOME FOG NOW!!!!!"

Eh, you and your body kit!!! Watch out for those speed bumps, lest you ground out.

Living in an area that gets fog, I might've opted for the sport were it not for the body kit and if the price differential was smaller. As it was, foglights and a jack for my iPod just wasn't worth the price increase in my book.

Eh, I like the brand names that don't have large logos on them - even better is the quality stuff without logos at all.

Quality fabric, proper cut, etc. all scream much louder than a huge ass logo!

the honda fit speaks for itself too but not if your passing in the opposite direction on a highway, but with some flashy fog lights... ? helps draw attention
i want people to look at my car as i am proud to own it, there might be nicer cars out there but in my diluted head my fit is best
