Yup, that's it, except you forgot cruise control. The base is all power as well (a nice change compared to most cars).

So really, in terms of functionality, the sport gives you a little bit louder stereo (less than a 2 dB increase at top volume), ipod connectivity, cruise control and an alarm.

The rest are looks based: alloys don't make much sense if you're going aftermarket anyway (or don't care), and the body kit is a matter of taste.

For me, I didn't think the looks based items were desireable (alloys would've been nice, but I really don't care about them that much). The only functional item I would've liked was the iPod jack, but I'm able to suffer without it.

Does the stock Sport alarm have a shock sensor built in?

I just think it's a shame that they didn't put a REAL sport package out there. If they had done something in the spirit of what the GTI package used to be on a VW, it would've been really something.

As it is, they should've called it a "premium" package or something to that effect.

As far as I know its only if you dont have your headlights on too.
It's like driving with parking lights on only...not supposed to...

I agree a bit...especially since the fits fogs spread like 180% (its impressive because of its direction) and so more light hits people in oncomming lanes. They are not that high but they shed outwards quite a bit extra...

I am actually impressed by the number of people with missalaigned headlights and "overly" bright aftermarket headlights. I think those are big problems...and a$$e$ who leave their brights on! Many stock cars now have waaaaayyyy too bright headlights!

I think its safer when they don't blind, and look better IMH(of most H)O, when they dont look like a ball of nuclear energy coming at you from every discernable direction. I think its sexier too when you can see the style of their lights and bodylines instead of that "SUPERNOVA AT ARMS LENGTH" look.

personally i'm much more annoyed at SUVS' and trucks' headlights than i ever will be at fog lights- i'm constantly blinded by trucks deciding to tail me. i've never noticed fogs actually making that much of a difference in oncoming lanes.

hey....its a fact that if you have your lights on...people can see you better and your less prone to get into an accident.

if you are blinding people with your fogs...you aimed them to high. and especially if your lowered...their is no way in hell you can blind people unless you actually raised the angle of them. they are meant to be aimed low...for "fog" reasons.

i like driving with them on, just because i find that people see me better. i have had some close calls, where people almost sideswipe me because they can not see my car.

OK holding up my hand for driving sometimes with the fog lights on without any fog! I just like the way they look and as above they are so low to the ground I think they would only blind something crawling on the road. I've never had foggers before and just think they look kinda of cool. They do help when there is fog but darn it - I just like to use them when it is dark or dusky. Everyone around here who has them on their cars normally run with them on.

lights

I guess we should tell drivers with HID to dim their lights too. C'mon, I've had OBX fog lights that were way brighter than the Fit's. Plus, isn't that what the rearview mirror dimmer is for?

...only if they are behind you. The Fits fogs don't really seem to be that bright and they are not that high but they do deflect/aim pretty wide.

With regards to aftermarket headlamps and some HID's I would appreciate it if people didn't try to blind me just to show off what they bought or to be able to outdrive there lights more. Sounds like a good idea to have a function where one can dim the "supernova".
Actually I never see any fits with their aux's on by me (i wouldnt mind a few just to see what my car looks like when I should happen to sport them) I bet it is sexy in the fog.

...cant really dim side view mirrors though...you can move them while driving if you are a man of "DANGER" hahahahaaaa

If I may throw my two pence in here for a second...

I drive with my fog lights on pretty much all the time, but there's a reason for it.

My other car, the car my Fit replaced as a daily driver, is a 1991 Subaru Legacy. On the Legacy forum, we have pretty much concluded that the 90-91 Legacy has THE WORST headlights ever used on a production car. It's not just that they're plastic and get yellow over time, the design of the light itself scatters the light VERY poorly.

I frequently missed turns and street signs at night because my Legacy's headlights were so terrible. It's amazing I didn't hit something.

I've literally considered attaching Mag-Lites to my hood and using those as headlights instead of my normal ones, because I'm confident they would do better.

That said, I'm LOVING the amount of light coming from my Fit's head and fog lights. I can actually see where I'm going!

So, just let me revel in my functional lighting on my new car, if you don't mind

OOOOOOOOOO^^^^^^ I dig the mag light idea

Hey if you need it you need it ....right?

My buddy had one of those emergency ex military spot fog lights or something... it was (I kid you not) 20 million candle power , and when someone would piss him off at night with brights or just being a punk....well you get the idea... It was huge and had cooling fans on it(maybe it was just one...sounded like a jet...hahaaa) with this tethered auxiliary pack near it, it actually hurt to get hit with that from 30' (even if it hit your back) , looked like an alien ship beaming you up!!!

It was such a wreckless thing to do but...was funny
Mostly funny because when someone was a prick...you would just hear the cooling fan spool up...then you thought OOH crap... as you sank down into your seat. Lucky a cop never got him...actually lucky no one ever stole it!!!haaahaaa ACTUALLY lucky no one was ever hurt!

I cant believe I forgot about that! my memory sucks...its embarrassing!

One, Two, Fog my Shoe

in a fog
: in a state of perplexity; unable to think clearly or understand something.

I hear there's a special test for whether or not you should use your fog lights...

Caution : If the idea of using your fog lights scares you, please cover your eyes now.

1. Drive down a dark street after darkness has fallen, with your headlights on.

2. Turn on your fog lights, if so equipped.

3. If you see better now, think of a reason why not to see better.

4. If you can come up with a reason for you not to see better, you may be in a fog.

e.b.
