Something small - how to change the interior light?

I did a search on the forum but can't find anything related to it.

Just bought a new 2009 Fit and get the LED light to replace my interior light bulb (2 at the front, 1 in the middle and 1 in the trunk.

How can I take off those cover without much damage? I am sure there got to be a easier way to do it.

Thanks in advance.

The ones in the middle and the trunk, you can probably use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the covers open.

The front (map lights?), I'm not so sure.

For dome and cargo use a credit card. Interest free too.

Use a credit card like I said to pry them out.

I'm an idiot please help

I'm also a little stumped...do all of the clear lenses pop out or do I need to remove the whole piece from the headliner on the map lights?

Also, w/ a credit card do I just stick it in a crack and start prying?

Thanks,

The Fit Village Idiot

I used a screw driver to get it off - it is relatively easy (after my 4th times).

By the way - I don't think credit card is strong enough...

Ok...so do I take off the clear lense or do I pry out the whole housing...I'm asking this question about the 2 map lights and the dome light.

Thanks!

there a slits in the sides of the lens where you can use your pry tool(credit card, whatever) to push out the lens. you only need to push out the lens and not the entire housing
