Just as the title says, I was wondering if there is a way to make a play list using the USB flash drive, I have an ipod but i would rather keep just a USB flash drive in the car because than i can take my ipod to the beach with out worrying about disconnecting it.

 

Only way would be to create a folder called "Playlist" and drop the songs you want to hear in it. But that would be redundant if you have them in other folders already.

Find an iPod touch or nano with a broken screen for the car and keep that in there.

Agreed. specboy has it right. There are a couple threads about the issues with the stock HU reading flash drives in a poor way. I just got a 5th gen iPod video 60 GB off eBay with a couple dead pixels on the screen for $55. Considering it will just sit in the glove box and that I paid $45 for a 16 GB flash drive it is going to be well worth it for the extra capabilities the iPod gives you.
