AVIC-U310 BT Install

Pulled the stock radio and installed the Pioneer U310BT, if you don't need DVD like me a great choice. Paid 266.00 online and added the xm. Very pleased with the look and sound. Added the shark fin antenna and was able to stuuf the XM antenna under it for a clean look.

Looks like this HU is being discontinued...Anyone know if they're releasing an update or are they cutting off the low end and making you either get a single-DIN unit with no nav or pay a premium for a double-DIN?

This unit seems like a great deal for the money. I guess I'm trying to decide if I should snag one while they are still available or wait and see if a new one becomes available.

still available thru 2010 but yes they are doing away with the low end, 710bt is still at a good price with more bells..

That's a shame...I could see that the 310 could cannibalize sales for the higher end models but it definitely prices me out of a Pioneer. The 710 is nice sure, but it's more than twice the price of the 310.

Atticus - are there any local car audio places in ATL you recommend? I definitely WANT to tackle installation myself but I always mess these kinds of things up.
