iPhone, updated to iOS4 now unsupported?
I have a 09 Fit sport with the usb connection into the glove box. No audio mods (not even speakers) and my 3GS worked perfect up until the point that I updated the OS, no all I get is unsupported everytime I plug in the iPhone. It will still charge, but no more controlling the audio on the aux input. Anyone else out there getting this, is there an update that honda might have put out by chance?
I thought someone here did a hard reboot of their phone, which solved it. Our iPhone 4 and 3GS work fine in the car using iOS4.
Hold the standby button on the top of the button until you're prompted to 'Slide to turn off'. Try reconnecting after you turn it back on.

Workaround for Iphone and Fit
I just posted this on a separate thread but thought I would post it here too..
I don't have an iPhone 4, but I did upgrade my 3GS to OS 4. The big difference between the OS's is that OS4 supports multitasking - in essence every app you run continues to run in the background even after you switch applications. I've noticed that if the iPod app is already running, I have problems. The workaround I've been using (which is faster than rebooting the phone) is just closing the iPod app. Here's how to do it:
1. With the iPhone unplugged, double click on the Home button (the button with the square on the bottom). The applications currently loaded into memory will show up.
2. Find the iPod application. You can switch pages by swiping your finger.
3. Hold the iPod application icon for 2 seconds. The icons will start to jiggle and a circle with a minus sign will appear. Click on the circle with the minus sign to close the iPod app.
4. Plug your iPhone into the USB connector in the car.
5. The screen on the navigation will read "Loading" .
The iPhone itself will probably say that it is unsupported, but it should still work.
