Can you post up pics of your amps?

I am hoping to see some pics on how they are mounted. There is some useable room under the rear seats and for now, I think that's going to be my first option. I have a Kenwood X4R and 2 X1R's that I need to hide up under there. Just hoping a few here have saw this as a good mounting place. Thanks in advance for any help.

Have mine mounted on my sub box since I didn't want to mess up the car.

I am with you on that one Jamy. I am hoping for a simple, clean install. I am thinking I can lay a piece of 1/4 or 1/2" MDF uder the rear seat bottom and mount the amps to that in the vertical position. Going to have to trace the floor so I can have a nice fit under there.

Hatch area loss isn't a concern for me so mine are on the back of each back seat. They are out of the way and stay cool.

I'm gonna get something smaller that I can put in the spare tire well. Thinking an 8" JL w7. Still good bump and sounds great with very little space.

This is good place and saves space, especially larger sized amps that won't fit under the seat..Mine is 5ch. runs my complete aftermarket system. Front and rear door components (separates) and a single 10'' sub...

Here is a pic of what I did in the hatch. I've got a trim panel done but haven't added the pics yet. Once I finish it I'll post more.

what speakers are you running in the car? if you not changing the speakers you can run a nice H/U to bump them up no need for an aftermarket hi n mids amp...i have my sub amp bolted to back of seat as the above picture shows...

hope you plan on getting a bigger and better battery for the power you will be drawing with that many amps...

Speaking of batteries, I just picked up a Shuriken BT35, very nice heavy little beast that went right into the factory spot under the hood. Finishing up my BIG 3 tomorrow and then going to work on getting 0awg ran to the back instead of 4awg and I have a second battery, SP1000 from stinger I may install in the back later if I feel I need it.

The shuriken battery is pretty affordable and made by Metra, you can find them on ebay for like $109 shipped.

Amp / Sub

I took out the oem carpet, replaced the flimsy cover with a 2 1/2 thick ply, re-installed the carpet. Mounted my 5ch amp upside down... BTW I had to replace the stock oem Alloy spare wheel with a thinner donut-type spare for the amp to fit. A capacitor fits on one side as well... I made a custom enclosure for the sub which is detachable in case I needed more space. Works for me...

Yeah, I got some equipment that came out of my last car. It has been sitting in the closet for 7 months and I am just now getting around to getting things installed. Considering changing things around and go the shallow woofer route.

This morning I pulled out an amp to see if they would fit under the rear seats but it's too tight to risk anything. I will be getting 2 shallow 12's soon, but the only thing installed now is the head unit. Fronts are Boston Pro Z's and rears are Boston Pro 6.5LF's.

In the tire well, works great. for my 5 channel. I just put the spare in the backseat if I go on a out of town trip.

Sub box comes out in one minute if I need extra room in the hatch.

Perfect setup for me.
