97-06 JEEP WRANGLER TJ Shifter Extension 3" shift lift | eBay
i bought this shift extension and received it 2 days later. so i can certainly recommend this eBay seller.

my driving style emphasizes smooth shifting over fast shifting so if you're the same, this might work for you.

pros:
.super cheap
.good quality
.smoother shifting
.knob position is in a more natural position and is much easier to reach

cons:
.looks a bit ridiculous IMO
.extra length causes more "play" and wiggle (shifts don't feel as crisp as the stock height)
.stock boot doesn't reach all the way to the knob
.you may bump your knuckles on the fan control if you have the stock shift knob (my momo knob sits noticeably lower than stock)
.shifts feel too light (i love my momo knob because it has significant weight to it, but this extension negates that effect)

overall, i like it. it will take a short time to get used to but i didn't miss any shifts in the two days that i've had it. i think that if you have a short shift kit but want you want your knob closer to your steering wheel, this might be for you and the "wiggle" that the extension introduces may be defeated. it might make a good pair.

let me know if you have any more questions.

Ordered it the other day after you posted about it. I'm going to put it in my integra as my fit already has a very tall shifter (beer tap)

Thanks for posting NPH! How was the thread quality? Hard to screw on? Does it fit on tight?

it fits tight. it's a bit light weight which is somewhat unnerving. have driven in the teggy with it for a couple days. it's pretty alright.

yeah. I think it would be tons better if it was made of heavy steel instead of lightweight aluminum.

Thanks Sol/NPH.

I kinda figured it'd feel weird without a weighted knob, but then again I used GReddy plastic knob with extender before and still liked it

Will probably join you guys in this purchase.
