Buyin a 2013 Fit Sport Thursday Advice On Headunit please help

I had a 1997 Honda accord where the engine died about a month ago and electric system got messed up. spend 30 days taking it to 3 different mechanics including honda dealer and nobody could get the car to spark even with a new engine. was going to spend almost 4000 just to try and figure it out but was not a guarantee. doing that was a waste of time and money. so got rid of the car and am going to purchase a 2013 Fit Sport on Thursday.

I have a Single Din head unit that i bought about a year ago Alpine CDA-117
Alpine CDA-117 CD receiver at Crutchfield.com

I want to know is it better to use the stock non navigation head unit or the one i have already for better sound?

Im trying to decide weather to try and sell the head unit or get it installed on the new car. for now it would be with the stock speakers though

thanks for any and all advice

AVH-P2400BT - 2-DIN Multimedia DVD Receiver with 5.8" Widescreen Touch Display, Built-In Bluetooth®, and USB Direct Control for iPod®/iPhone® | Pioneer Electronics USA

That is the unit I have in my car and it works very well. I would recomend it so most anyone. I think the lowest I ever saw it sold for was like 200.

EDIT
I have a 2010 though.

It should come navigation ready "whatever that means". I use my phone for GPS though. I think it's the most bang for its buck. It's good output to the speakers. Maybe someone else should chime in here. I don't know about any of the new 2013 head units and if there are better ones.

What exactly are you looking for? How did navigation work on your alpine?

You could also get this. Lol
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...s/AVH-X8500BHS

But if you look at the specs they both put out 50W x 4.

So I recomend any 2-Din that is around the 50Wx4 range. The only reason is cause I had a 1-Din and it just looks aweful with all that empty space not being taken up.

If its a 2011-2013 head unit you should be fine.

The CDA-117 is MILES better than the factory radio, however if you are looking for Nav, the newer Pioneer Double Dins seem to be the best price/feature packed I have installed and seen.

thanks for the response.

maybe i should clear myself. if i was to get a double din dvd and video function is my last of important things. i would only want one with a good navigation system.

So with that being said im fine with my single din head unit. i just wanted to know if it was better than the stock

Im probably going to keep my head unit and put it on the car. but what do i need to make it fit? if someone could give me a link to where they sell whatever to make it fit that would be great. i would also be losing the steering wheel volume control right?
