A simple cupholder mod for the GE
Ok guys, here's one that I don't think anyone has done. (maybe because it's so trivial). I added Honda felt pads to the bottoms of the front dash cupholders. Don't ask me why. I was running out of low cost mods so I thought of this when I was installing the new armrest.
On the older generation GE's the original back of the console had a felt pad in the base of the back cupholder. When you add the armrest, the felt pad is discarded. Well I found that the pad fits pretty well in the base of the front dash cupholders, so I stuck it in the driver's side. After that, it always annoyed me that I only had a pad in the drivers side, and not on the passenger side. So last Bernardi order, I included one of these pads for the other side. See images below.
Here's the pad - costs less than a cup of coffee, but keeps the bottom of your cup nice and cozy

For the front cup holder liner I used the pad/cover which was in the center, where the armrest console goes. Since it was no longer being used I tried it out and it fit quite well.
Apparently one of the Honda service employees thought it was a good idea as well, cause it went missing right after I took it in for the LMS recall...
So I then bought 2 of them for the front (both sides), it's part # 83410-TF0-003ZA

Great mod... I'm surprised I haven't seen more people post about it.
