Po301

Po301
So I got the code for cylinder 1 misfire, I replace spark plug, and ignition coil, still have error code, wondering what I should check next (13 sport if it matters)? The car has around 130,000 miles (car belongs to my wife so not certain) so was thinking I might do a little of everything while I am at it, but need to first figure out the misfire. So any advice on what could be the next potential issue would be great!
Thanks

I'm not trying to be critical but thinking out loud:
1.) PO301 - did you do the proper cylinder?
2.) If you did do the proper cylinder, is everything hooked up right, and not lose again?
3.) If you are replacing one spark plug, why not replace all 4 since all have 110,000 miles on them (recommended replace interval)? Great time to check to see if any are lose and possibly producing / will soon produce a misfire code.
4.) Only after replacing all 4 plugs, would I consider changing the coil pack if I continued to get the PO301 code.

What was condition of old spark plug & coil? How was the spark plug gap size, tip color and condition, etc. Did coil look burnt, deformed, oily or new? Did you check wiring to coil for visible damage?
Cylinder 1 is closest to accessory belt.
Did you buy new coil from Honda? Non-OEM coils have high failure rates but the OEM ones can be DOA also.

I did use OEM coils, tried swapping coils, adjusted valves, nothing helped. When I put everything back together I got even more errors. These are the list of new codes that came up
p2185
p0453
p0301
p2183
I am at a total loss on what to do. I am going to buy a new ECT sensor in hopes that helps.

Did codes go away with driving or resetting? We had a VW that required disconnecting both battery cables at the battery and touching the disconnected cable ends together (DO NOT HAVE THE BATTERY CONNECTED TO CAR IN ANY WAY WHEN DOING THIS) to erase the memory.

Well I gave in and took it to the dealer, and while I believe people on here are far smarter than I am, I don’t believe we would have ever diagnosed this problem via a forum! Turns out a mouse decided to chew up some wiring under the car, to the tune of $410! They repaired the wiring, cleared codes and all good.
