Re-sitting a back bumper after a fender bender

When it rains it falls!! I got rear ended and broken into all on the same week. The bumper cover on the back of my '12 Fit has come of its socket..can anyone suggest how I can re-sit or snap back the bumper back to it's original position? I didn't find any how-to clips for fit back bumper on YouTube. I dont want to replace the cover just yet..just snap it back into place so it doesn't dangle on one side.

This is how the service manual says it goes on and off.

with the above in mind.

this screw probably ripped out of the plastic. if so, no big deal. the big flat screw head can still hold the plastic in place once you get it re-seated. i added a washer to make it hold better. Figure it out.

this area is hard to seat. requires firm pressure.

Also, some of the clips might be broken or bended

Red05- Thanks for taking the time to send me the diagram but i really wanted to avoid the removal-and-re-install process, just want to snap the old one back into place from the affected side..

Pyts- Thanks for that illustrated reply..One question i had was, as shown on photo # 3, there is a plastic screw or some sort of fastener near the tail-light, and the housing around this fastener may be cracked..so i am assuming that, that would be the first re-aligning/re-fastening i will need to do before moving on to the rest of the bumper right ?
