What's missing?
Something missing so switch not activating when put in park. Have rigged it as seen and works ATM. Without switch press only way to remove the car keys is to disconnect negative from battery.
Picture is underneath the auto gear shifter.

Not sure that matters since the shifter is in the middle of the car.
My point was that if the diagram was drawn as if looking at it from the left-side of the car, it might be more reveling of the part(s) that might be missing on yours.

Now that you mention it, I don't see the spring, #4 in the diagram, that looks like it would be on / around that "V" rocker. Almost looks like the pivot post for that "V" rocker is snapped off but I've never seen this mechanism in real life, so just a guess.
We had shift interlock problems on a cheap Chevy. The system was a pain to diagnose. One time was bad brake switch one time required some parts at the shifter (IIRC).
Belwo is a 2008 Fit video of another broken unit. It looks slightly different from yours but seeing the parts move might help you.
Some threads that might help although they are not exactly on point

Having seen the video, I don't think anything is missing.
Rather, my guess is that the shifter isn't properly locking into place.
To the right side of the picture (in first post), there's something that looks almost like the center cardboard of toilet paper rolls. And from that is a protruding piece of dark metal.
When you move the shifter into park, its supposed to move all the way to the left and then all the way up until it pushes against the little flap of metal you have a piece of wood ziptied to. Its supposed to push around where that metal bends into a C shape. That is when its supposed to trigger the switch.
The way you placed the piece of wood indicates to me that the metal from the shifter handle isn't moving all the way up. So most likely, the issue is in the shifter handle itself. According to the video, that protuding metal should always want to move itself up, unless you are pressing the shifter "button" at the top of the handle. Broken spring at the bottom of the handle?
