Loose shifter?

Loose shifter?
Anyone had a loose shifter? Mine has about an inch of play from left to right. While driving in sometimes feels like it may slip out of gear. It doesn't always go into each gear smoothly. Any thoughts?

I have the same problem. Did you figure out how to fix? I have a 2009 model Fit sport.
