Race Ramps
Race Ramps
Anyone here heard of or has experience with these ramps? I went ahead and bought a set from Summit racing:
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/bti-rr-56/
I need something like this because my Fit is lowered now and doing any oil or fluid changes is a big hassle because my jack is not low enough or long enough to go under the center jack point behind the engine/transmission. It can't even go under the jack points behind the tires.
I hope these ramps will also save a little bit of time doing oil changes. I do feel a little nervous about the foam material they're made out of. I will make sure to use separate jack stands once the car is up for extra protection.

Geez that's expensive for a ramp. Have you consider making one yourself? Some 2x6 stacked into a ramp configuration would be a lot cheaper, albeit heavy.
I just use a plastic ramp I bought from harbor freight. It was probably less than $50 and had the capacity to hold up my old SUV. That one you linked is rated for 3k pounds which to me doesn't leave much wiggle room when the Fit weighs about 2700lbs.

These ramps won't be used to support the whole car. Just the two front wheels. My guess is the front end is less than that ... maybe around 1700 lbs or so? Should be well under the 3000 lb rating?
Yea they are expensive but I want to try them out. Should have them delivered in 3 weeks.

Dat stance tho <3
I like my DIY wood ramps. Heavy AF but they get the job done.
I may have posted that car once or twice, lol. I do miss the "good ol days" when stance was IN and the car scene was fun and less about "likes" or "subscribe to my channel"
those ramps look well built! ever driven on those... and driven too far forward? I can tell ya .... its NO FUN ... ask me how I know!
I was watching a YouTube video and they mentioned a site called Wheel Well so I checked it out. I was disappointed to see that is was more of a contest then a community. At least from my look around the website.

Lol, I must have missed it. I would say stance is still in but it gets a lot of hate and I don't understand why. I might not stance my car but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate a well stanced car. There are lot's of ways to build a car.

No, I have not done that but do have nightmares of it happening. I like that these ramps have steps so I can count them as I go up. 4 bumps and I am at the correct level.
