Jacking points

It was time (I hope) to take off the winter treads today, and I thought I'd try the central jacking points to do an axle at a time. The FSM is very clear on their location, as were some posters here.
However, when I tried to slide my (Sears racing) jack under the engine, it was significantly too high to fit under the Fit.
My jack is relatively low profile; wonder if others have had this problem...

With a second jack, it would be possible to lift from the side until the main jack would fit underneath. Any other ideas?

Maybe try driving it on a 2x6" and it'll give you just enough clearance for the jack.

It is enough. I use that method with two 2x4s and it works.

Good tip, virtual and dman; hadn't thought of that. Buying an extra jack just to use the first one seemed like overkill, but the wood sounds like a winner.
I haven't changed the oil yet; does it require jacking or ramps to get access?
Thnx,
Moon

Yes. I changed my oil last weekend and lifted the car to gain access to the drain plug.
