Help please...need horn upgrade for my "09 Sport
a few of the GE owners in SG had a mini DIY meetup to replace the stock horn. below are the steps and pix..
note: our GE are JDM, not USDM. so there might be some differences. but the concept should more or less be the same.
1. Stop car on flat ground and apply handbrake!
2. Open the bonnet.
3. Remove the 4 plastic locks as shown. Use a flat tip screwdriver to lift the head of the locks and pull them out. Keep the locks together at a safe place so that you don't lose them!

4. Once the 4 locks are removed, you need to ply open the top cover a little to look out for the 2 screws securing the grill. There is one screw on each side. Use a cross tip screwdriver to remove the screws. Keep the screws safe!
5. There are 10 clips (6 on top and 4 below) on the grill that holds it to the body. Depress them gently one at a time and remove the grill to expose the stock horn.

6. You need a wrench set (right in the image below) to loosen/tighten the nut holding the horn and a crimper (left in the image below) if you use connectors.

7. Detach the horn from the power connector and remove the nut to take the stock horn out.

8. Tap the power from the existing wire to power the new horn. This is not required if you have the correct terminal to plug into the power connector such that you can draw current from the power connector directly.

9. Get your new horns ready!

10. If you are buying the below horns like me, I must warn you that the hole on the brackets provided are too small for the nut removed at step 7. You need to make it bigger! We used a flat tip screwdriver to scrape the hole till the nut fits!

11. Connect the horns using wires and connectors..

12. Tighten the new horns with the nut and connect the positive lines to the wire you tapped at step 8.

13. Test the horns!
14. Assuming they work, fix the grill back in place. Put back the two screws removed at step 4. Also put back the 4 locks removed at step 3.
15. Get horny!

Sorry, but for me, I'm much more likely to help somebody who puts forth even the smallest effort to help himself.
In retrospect, I should have linked the thread for the plug-and-play Accord horn instead of just digging into you.
