Anything higher than about 180 on stock internals will see new holes blown in the block. It's more worthwhile to look into swapping something else in. The new Civic SI 1.5L pushes 200 stock, with some work gets to 300.

I boosted my stock block and it made 187wtq before it puked a rod out the front and back of the pan.

150whp is a safe number. After that you have to add some mad timing to the engine which is a one way ticket to boom town

on the plus side I’m dumping some je pistons and Brian crower rods in a new block.

can you elaborate on the conditions that led to blowing the engine? I’ve got a turbo build rattling around in my head.
