Question 2013 Fit Sport Mystery

I love Fits. This is my second one, bought used, a 2013 Black Sport with a manual transmission. Here's my mystery; it doesn't have a Fit badge on the hatch, none, zero. Absolutely no sign of body fill, no stress to the sheet metal, no paint where the the Fit badge would be. Besides, why one would go to the trouble to remove the thing without a trace? I've never seen another Fit without one, except once; another black Fit, just like mine, with no badge, and getting off on an exit ramp driving away from me or I would have pulled them over and asked them the question. Does anybody know what the significance of this is? It was the last year of the old body style, but there's plenty of those, and all with badging. Because it's a manual? Why? The last of a handful of classic Fits off the line? Wtf does this mean? It has to have a reason!

The Fit badge on the hatch is applied with double sided tape from the factory- not applied with studs on the emblem and drilling to the hatch to attach it. The emblem can be removed with a heat gun/hair dryer and no residue is left behind. A lot of owners "de-badge" their cars of emblems etc.. The smart ones keep the emblems and can later re-apply them if they want with 3M automotive emblem tape.

It sure doesn't mean anything special. Emblems and badges are easily removed and a popular mod to do. And all Fit's came with them.

I de-badge many of my cars. I like a clean rear.

What a letdown...

While I do like the clean rear end, I had hoped the missing badge had a bigger reveal than double faced tape, something more like the upside down airplane on that stamp.
Well thank you all for shattering my fantasy...
but maybe I'm destined to find and meet this beautiful dark haired woman driving that one other black badgelessless Fit and we'll have a torrid love affair and live happily ever after...hmm, I'm trying to remember what was the exit she got off on...
