fit 2013, rear passanger window not responding.

noticed the rear passenger window wont go up or down with either the drivers control panel or the rear passenger switch. tested the fuse with a multimeter and it reads fine. turned the car on and stuck my ear on the rear door while i activated the switch, heard a sort of humming noise like coil whine i guess? no clicking or grinding or anything i'd think to suspect from a motor that's gotten stuck.

what's my next step? is this looking like a dead motor? can anyone suggest more steps i need to take before i buy a replacement? preferably testing that doesn't require any other form of diagnostic tool beyond a multimeter or maybe something cheap i can pick up at an auto shop?

Well, you can have someone push the glass down with it sandwiched between hands while you press the button. It might loosen something if it's just stuck. Basically giving the motor an assist. Might be stuck in the tracks *shrug*

But otherwise you're pulling the plastic panel off and checking the components directly. Could be something as simple as a bad wire or connection, or you might need to get a new motor assembly :s. Best of luck...

Have same issue with our '13 . Sticks with no use for long period of time . Wonder if spraying silicone in right and and left side track would help ?

We have a 2013 Fit Base. Notice that when I roll down the drivers side window, sometimes the drivers side rear window will go down as well. Has been like that since we got it. Windows don't stick open or closed.

I had that EXACT issue on my Sport. Rear windows get unhappy sometimes. One time I was heading across the Canada/US border and the guard asked me to roll my rear window down and it was stuck... it was very awkward.

Just started working again eventually
