I finely got around to asking the Forum, what to do about my 09 Sport that was red, and is now pink !!!!! Some parts are still red, while others are pink or shades of pink. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

 

This is the second time I've seen it on the forum now, the Red turning pink after some years, perhaps search on the forum. Pretty interesting

 

My 2014 is starting to "pink out" as well. Everything plastic is "pinkier" then the rest.

 

Thanks for the feedback, now I know I'm not alone. Very Very costly to have repainted, going to check out how much to 'wrap' it.

 

All Honda's in red has this happen to them. Very common for most every model.

 

Your car is 12 years old. I would live with it until the end...

But on my side, this is my last red car!

 

Yep, my '09 faded pretty quick, painted it in '15 to Rallye red, she looks sharp now. From the factory mine had hardly any clear coat on the roof and hood. Very thin. I've got three coats of base and three coats of clear now, been rock solid for a while now.



I'm totally gonna be that guy and flex that we painted mine on our own. Rising sun and all..

 

Honda has two colors that don't have clear coat: taffeta white and monte carlo red. Why I don't know, but that's why they chalk up. If you want, wash well, go over with a clay bar, then use a paint polish. Wax after.
