Paint ?

Bought a used 08 Sport red (R81), I thought I would be able to remove the paint oxidation. However the hood, roof, tailgate and some sides have a 'pinkish' hugh (oxidation) I took it to a professional detail shop, and they couldn't move it. Has anyone else had this problem, or can offer suggestions. Do you think I have a case with Honda? Thanks.

I think I read somewhere that the Fit's Milano Red is subject to fading to pink. I don't think there's much you can do to restore its appearance. We bought our used '13 in Milano Red and it's been fine, despite its having lived outside for three years now. Perhaps Milano Red's appearance has something to do with how well the previous owner cared for the paint (regular washing and waxing) and if it were garaged?

With you car being 11+ years old, I doubt Honda will help you.

'09 Milano red here myself. Got the pink in about 4 years, had it painted in 2016 and switched to Rallye Red (Civic color) and added a little something extra. BTW, all done in a home-made garage spray booth. Pretty happy with the results some years later

Doubt Honda will help. Paint fads even if taken care of but will fad worse when neglected.

Vinyl wrap maybe?

So, Honda tricked you into buying a Fit with faded paint or did I get this wrong?

If not, I'm not sure why you mention a "case" with Honda.
