Replacing cruise control module

First post here, apologies if this breaks rules or something.

So the switch to turn cruise control on and off has broken on my 2013 Fit. I have to hold it down for the cruise control to activate, and it turns off as soon as I let go. I was able to find a replacement module online (https://www.hondapartsnow.com/genuin...0-tk6-a12.html), and feel comfortable replacing it myself. I'm just wondering if anyone has any words of advice, or if there are any gotchas I need to be aware of.

You will need to take the steering wheel off, and remove the airbag. Both of which isn't scary, just take the right steps. Disconnect the battery 10-15 minutes prior to working on it to keep from setting an airbag light warning off on the dash. The actual steering wheel nut is pretty beefy, and it's gonna require some muscle to get it off. loosen the nut holding it on, but don't remove it from the end of the threads. Leave it on a couple threads. the firmly grab both sides of the wheel and do a push-pull motion with your arms doing the opposite motion as the other arm. should pop right off, and the nut keeps you from hitting yourself. The wheel trim is helt together with simple phillips, pretty easy to get on and off.

The airbag is held on with two torx head bolts on the left and right side of the wheel. These will be tough to get loose, they've got threadlocker on them.

That doesn't sound too bad. I assume that I can just unplug the old module and replace it with the new one once I get the wheel off?

More or less. You'll need to keep the wiring tidy with the wire guide that's in the wheel. Also if you bought the cruise module for a manual and you have an auto you might lose the paddleshift ability. I think all replacement switches are meant for autos though, might not be a problem.
