Stop to start at stop sign
Hello, there,
Here is the weird thing that happened to my 2008 honda fit and hope some more inexperienced people can help me.
Recently it started to refuse to move forward at a stop sign after fully stopped. Last several times, I just turned off the engine and restarted the car. Once moving, it seems to keep going though jerking happens.
Today, it happened again but I did not turn off the engine. I opened the hood and felt the sound was not right (please see the attached short clip 1); I came back and turned off the air conditioner, and the car became quiet completely. Seems the ongoing sound was just for the air conditioner but not moving tires forward. Then, I started the engine and this time, the sound was completely different (please see the short clip 2) and seemed to become usual with mechanical parts running though I was not sure.
I know I have to repair this before something worse happens. However, could anyone tell me possible reasons before I go to a dealer or repair shop? How much would it be to repair? I know everything is expensive nowadays.
Thank you!
