I had a piece break on my Honda Fit I think it’s called the ignition cylinder or chamber. I was wondering if I could just upgrade to a push to start or push button. If you guys have any brands, ideas please let me know. I would like to find one someone has used or installed and know if it’s even possible. First problem I’ve had in this car and it’s gone 199,000 miles barely missed 200,000. Thanks

I'm not too savvy with electrical, so I can't be of help with specifics here. I can provide you with a link to advanced keys. Never done business with them so don't know, but they sell fancy looking kits. They use wireless transponders though, kinda ritzy, and doesn't give you the best idea of what to do. If you're looking for just replacing your key with a button, I don't see any reason why you couldn't broaden your search to all makes and models for general concept, and then narrow it to hondas for specifics. The service manual on here should provide access to the ignition wiring diagrams. 22-79, or page 1827, with the following troubleshooting procedures showing pretty much which wire does what.
I hope this is helpful, or draws the attention of someone helpful!
I’m having the same issue. Keeping up with this thread if someone has a rock solid idea
