Hello everyone
I own a 2010 Honda Fit since April 2021
I have a strange noise in the car, it sounds like a little piece of metal clinging, it is very subtle. I brought the car to 3 different garages and they could not see or hear anything, which drives me nuts because I hear well, my bf hears it too so does my best friend. So I know something is going on.
The problem is the noise only start when I hit the gas pedal and while in motion.
We tried to lift the car up with me inside hitting the gas pedal and no sound. I will never hear it if the car isn't in motion, it literally starts when I am driving and pressing the gas pedal. That makes me so nervous.
Does anyone has experienced anything like it ?

Check the pads on the front disc brakes. There is a metal scraper that is built into the pads that scrapes on the rotor when the pads are worn down to a minimum thickness to let you know the pads need replacing. Keep in mind there is a scraper on the left and right front, and either could be scraping.

 

As a suggestion, if you figure out what is causing the noise, report back on this post- it helps the community.

 

Is it rhythmic? Like, in time with the wheel speed or engine speed? Or just with the motion of the accelerator pedal?

There’s a video in that thread demonstrating a sound made while it’s shifting and some good posts to read. Maybe a similar sound of what you’re experiencing?
