Hi,
I'm adding a Kenwood CMOS back up camera , I've done most of the wiring except for the reverse wire. Crutchfied's diagram
shows a dark green wire near the fuse box to tap into . However it was such a cramped space I can't work in there and make it happen . So I'm going to try to tap into where it goes into the tail light , does anyone know if it's still the same color coded wire when it gets there ? The ground wire and Auxiliary power are already wired into the head unit and a ground connection on the chassis , this last wire goes into the head unit to tell it the car's in reverse. Thanks in advance.

 

I attached the reverse trigger wire to the green one going into the back up light/brake light. Now the back up camera comes on in reverse but also when I put on brakes. I'm adding an interrupter switch under the dash so I can switch the video feed off once I'm rolling. Not the ideal solution but workable. Just though someone else might like to know this.
