Hi All,
need to get a ge8 mugen 2010 front bumper repaired, but missing tow cover is impossible to source. Not the standard one, & complex shape.
body shop wants to plastic weld/fill it in.
Not keen on losing access to only tow point however.
Any ideas on alternative places I can add a point? Thinking through the mesh grille, near spotlight.
under bumper probably too low. but clearly will need to connect with suitable spot on chassis.
Keen to hear what (if any) others have done.

Some others might have more ideas, but what I think of:

1- 3D print the cover;

2- Delete the cover, but add a tow strap or hook that will permanently stay there.

 

That isn't a piece anyone would sell you off their own vehicle. Nor was it available as a sepporate piece. You will have to make one. Or just run the bumper without it like said above.
