Bumper circle

Bumper circle

Ok..I'm sure it is something simple..but what is the purpose of the circle cut out on the front bumper?

Pop the cover off and you have access to a threaded location.

In the trunk, under the floor board, is a loop that can thread into it... Your tow hook.

I'm guessing it's an access point for a tow hook behind the bumper, if the car had to get pulled out of a ditch, for example.
