New 2012 Honda Fit owner!
Not only is this my first Honda but I have been commuting via bicycle for 6 years. My wife and I settled on a 2012 Honda Fit sport for my new commute to work. Such a great Fit! Any tips and advice for maintenance would be great! I’m happy to be apart of the community.
Congrats, and you've found a car that will pretty easily fit your bike, which can be useful.
Your manual should have a maintenance schedule with recommendations at both time and mileage intervals.
If you don't have a history of what's been done, it's worthwhile covering all the standard things you would with any car: oil, transmission fluid, coolant, brakes and brake fluid, windshield wipers and fluid, 12v battery, tires, engine and cabin air filters, the engine belt, and potentially spark plugs. One issue that can be particularly important for a Fit is the valve lash adjustment. As with any older vehicle, you may be in line for suspension maintenance as well. Stuff like ball joints, end links, shocks, and struts. At higher mileage or if the car has seen a lot of rough treatment, you potentially start getting into things like wheel bearings and CV joints.
If you're a DIY person, many of these jobs are pretty easy to tackle yourself. If you're not, the best bet is to get an inspection from a trusted mechanic and go from there.
There are many, many threads here giving more detailed maintenance advice for the GE8 Fit, if you want to do a little exploring.

@Idontknow705 Welcome. The '12 Fit is a great car. Even greater if you got the manual transmission.
Post often. We'd love to hear how it's going with you.
