Question '09 Fit missing rear spoiler?

I got my '09 Fit Sport about 7 months ago, I love the f outta this car and I've even already modded it, but about a few days ago I noticed something a little weird...
The back of my car has NO rear spoiler. It even looks like it has the stock "back" by looking at images. I know for sure it is a sport model, according to the VIN, and it has the foglights and sport mode and other details and blah blah.
I just can't wrap my head around how it just.. doesn't have a spoiler. The area where the spoiler should be attached to doesn't even have any screws or indents where it would have sat. It seriously made me trip up.
The only thing I can think of is that the car was a special order from the factory, and the buyer explicitly asked for no spoiler, but I have no way of verifying this as I have no info about the previous owners, and looking up the VIN tells me nothing (all the resources say that it comes with a rear spoiler).
If by some long shot anyone here has an answer to this, it would be much appreciated.

You car was in a rear accident and the shop put a base rear hatch instead of the sport hatch. Probably most plausible cause.

Or someone had a buddy with a base model Fit and they decided to swap rear hatches. Every car community I've been in has folks who have a spoiler and they'd rather not, and folks who don't have a spoiler but they want one anyway.

There was no special order from the factory. Somebody just installed a non Sport hatch on your car because the stock hatch was damaged. I've seen it done plenty over the years.

Not rare. Not special. Oh and the rear key hole is also different between non-Sport and Sport trim models.

Definitely not this. The only accident report for the car detailed minor damage to the front-right side of the vehicle

Mystery solved! The keyhole detail really confirmed it, after looking at some pics online, I def have the hatch of a base, not a sport. Thank you!

You're assuming all accidents get reported. The key lock on the base hatch is nice to have, imo.

I was thinking the same thing. I can easily imagine an incident that damages the rear hatch and maybe the rear bumper cover without affecting other body panels. And, I can then imagine a scenario where it's easier and cheaper to get a junkyard hatch than mess with insurance.

Makes perfect sense to me. Cheaper to fix yourself. And your insurance rates don't go up either.

But yes clearly it was replaced in it's past due to accident in the rear. Not because they wanted to remove a stock spoiler for any reason.

That's interesting about the key hole or lack thereof. I'd never noticed.

I kind of wish my Sport had a key hole. Kind of like "just in case".
