Hey guys, happy holidays! While installing new Android tablet head unit I found this cable / port that I have no idea what to do. Hope someone can identify it and I am hoping it's not something important that I can just ignore it.

Pretty sure that goes to the USB port in the upper glove box. I don't know if there is an adapter available, but I didn't use that connector when I upgraded to aftermarket head unit.

 

Thx cargo, that is the USB port to the upper glove box, I just spliced it so that I didn't have to jam a new USB wire to that same location.

 

Honda used an adapter box to add USB functionality to their non-navi head units during this time period - that's the box. The jumper harness to the stereo also got tapped into for optional stuff like CD changers.

 

I just removed the own usb, cut the grommet and slid in the new USB into it.
