Aftermarket Head Unit / Infotainment?
Aftermarket Head Unit / Infotainment?
The Head Unit.. Infotainment.. whatever you want to call it on my 2018 Sport is an absolute PITA. I am in love with this car but the tablet makes me want to commit un-alive. It's just clunky as heck and the saving grace is that I have android auto (but even that has its issues like randomly stopping my music or playing audio from my phone instead of my car), but every few days i randomly happen upon this poorly explained "charging error" that essentially breaks all the USB ports in the car, yes even the one inside the center console that has nothing to do with AA, and I cannot charge my phone. I threw my girlfriend into a panic once bc my phone died and the car refused to charge it no matter how many times i reset the unit or restarted my car.
So anyways, are there any good recommendations for aftermarket head units? Ideally something fast and with plug and play setup

I don't know about replacement head units, but regarding charging I'd say if your phone is like most you're going to want a Type C PD charger (I thin there are still a few phones using Qualcomm Quick Charge instead of PD, so check first), the kind that goes in a 12v plug. The built in USB ports charge slowly. If your laptop uses type C charging you'll be able to charge that too if you buy a higher wattage one.
