P0171 after Air intake install

I already knew it’s gonna happen as I’ve seen posts of it online, I did my own air intake under $50 with a spectre air filter and it does the job well, not really looking for more power, with code on it gets the mpgs normally and accelerates normal, just wondering if there’s a better way to fix this issue.

Doubt it, sorry. Everything you read has come true. I wish there was a cool sounding intake. Let me just be the first to say: put the stock box on and be thankful to Honda-sama.

Your MAF needs at least 8" of tube ahead of it and at least teh diameter of the MAF between it and the throttle body, to properly measure the air flow, (Based on hacking dozens of race cars in my life.. ) If you hooked up a wide band youd probably see some pretty wobbly air flow numbers especially when coming on the throttle. On average Honda has had some of the best stock intakes made. Beating them is hard.
