Full suspension refresh

Hey, freaks.

Betty is coming up on 170,000 miles, and I'm planning a full suspension refresh. The front right has never been in good shape since we bought her in 2018. Toe angle has always been off. It's noticeable to the naked eye, even. There's also an audible clunk when driving. Hoping this helps, but even if it doesn't, it'll be nice to get new components in there. Most of the struts are leaking, and some of the bushings are going, too. Thankfully, nothing is too severe, but for less than $1,000, a few beers, and several curse words and busted knuckles, I'll be happy to have new components in there. I don't know if doing CV axles is overkill or not, but it's about $100 for the set.

Attached is my list of parts from RockAuto. Please have a look at it and let me know if I'm missing anything.

So far the list looks good. I'm make sure to hold onto the factory axles in case of the aftermarket ones snaps. Some aftermarket axles have been known to be a little thinner and/or weaker than OE.

PLUS... Since you're in a snow belt area so you may have the axle shaft recall (Look up Honda 21-009) on your car if you haven't had it done already. If the axle(s) are affected then you may luck out and get replacements under the recall.

Thanks! I'm on the fence about CV axles, because of that. And ours look fine.

According to the NHTSA, our VIN has 0 unrepaired recalls.

Subscribed for pics if you document it! I just did front top strut mounts and sway bar end links to rid of the clunking noises I had-- I've ran a few coilovers and air suspension and I usually only change the top mounts if the bearings aren't worth reusing; the pair I had just got old. Everything else seems firm and in decent shape so far at 140k.

I'm curious to see the new Moog parts. I've heard mixed reviews ever since they got bought up.

Shoot. I don't know if the KYB Strut Plus comes with top mounts. Hope so! I don't know much about suspension components - I just remember that when I had the suspension done on my Element, I need to buy strut mounts because I bought struts and springs separately.

I opted for Mevotech Supreme.

Quick google search and it looks like the kyb struts plus come with top mounts— I’ve been running kyb top mounts everytime since I started changing out the suspension.

I have the strut plus in the back seat of my car. I'm waiting on the rear shocks to arrive later this week to start the project.
The KYB strut plus kit comes with everything ready to install.
I can send a photo if you would like.
