Possibly clutch problems
Possibly clutch problems
Need help diagnosing a problem on my Honda before I go ahead and remove the transmission for a possible bad clutch. Problem occurred when I downshifted to over take a car and came up to a stop light and car didn’t wanna move after that. Car just revs up while in gear.Goes into all gears fine, when releasing the clutch while in gear car won’t stall out, also moves slowly in reverse and moves slowly in 1(could push the car faster tbh). Anyone have any suggestions on what could be the problem?
I think you have made the correct conclusion. All of your symptoms fit a failed clutch.
If you're pulling the transmission to do the clutch, educate yourself about other parts you may want to replace at the same time, including the pilot bearing, throw-out bearing, and (depending on your mileage or if there is any sign of weeping oil) rear main seal.

I've replaced my clutch in the past on my Fit. I recommend having the weekend free to get 'er done and a friend to help out. I used the Exedy HCK1010 OEM Clutch Kit from Amazon. car still runs great.
