I'm not aware of a reason I couldn't just eleminate that chamber off to the right... like cut it off, and print a section with a flange to connect there, to add a duct-ed hose/tube/pipe. Probably the simplest solution to get not just a larger inlet into the air box, but 100% ambient outside air. The other thing I was thinking, was back the ducted flange bit come up to the duct on the hood to where there's as small of a gap as possible so that it acts more as a ram air duct without having to run a hose/pipe etc. just making use of what's already there.

Sorry I don't follow exactly... are you talking about pulling air in from the cowl? Like, between the bottom of the window and the back of the hood?

Doesn’t help that my phone trys to help at times without me realizing it. I was trying to say, make a ducted piece that replaces the box in the side, and points upwards to where the oem duct exits that guides air from the front of the car over to that corner, and try to model it in such a way that it comes as close as it can to “connecting” in a slip fit sort of way to that duct outlet so that it acts as a bit of a “ram air” or genuine cold air intake at least instead of justof blowing cooler air over around here the air box pulls from.

I need to stop by the junkyard on the way home this Friday and see if they have a air box for a GE8… that way I don’t have to hack up and try stuff on my factory unit lol

Oh, gotcha! Okay yea, that makes sense. That could be nice if you're able to get them to butt up to each other correctly.
