17MM brake caliper replacements (UK)
17MM brake caliper replacements (UK)
Hi, first post here, I have a imported Japan Honda fit GE6 2010 that has the small brake package, I’ve searched all over but I can’t seem to find any replacement non OEM callipers, the OEM would cost about £250 each being imported from Japan…I have Pair of Front Brake Disc Fits Honda Fit OE 45251SAA901 Blue Print ADH243119
which have a brake disc maximum thickness of 17MM, all the callipers I look at have 21MM.
45018-SAA-900 Is the part number.
is anybody able offer any help of this matter, thankyou!

- Yeah I suppose, never considered it figured it would be a jaunt of a job but just looked at a YouTube video and seems easy enough, thankyou my man, saves me a good few hundred!
Getting the piston back in can be a bear (usually due to rust in the caliper's seal-holding grooves), the rest is pretty straight forward.
If you're thinking about switching to other calipers, check if the donor car's steering knuckle (part the caliper bracket bolts to) has the same part number as yours. If so, that tells you the donor calipers should bolt up. Similarly checking the hub part numbers will tell you if the rotors will fit.
