Here's a great video showing off a 5MT Sport W/Navi interior

Only thing I wanna know is if there's anything we can get for our 07-08s that come off the 09. I demand a list! Maybe there's something worth getting if compatible?

Watch out, loyal 07-08 owners may call you a traitor. This happens on every car forum when a better model comes out (I own an S2000, a rivalvy has been going on for years with AP1/AP2) and even if the new model is clearly better in every way, last gen owners make themselves feel better by bashing the new car. It's kind of disturbing, but most information on internet forums is.

I already want the leather shift knob from the 09 accessory list

http://www.eyedreamt.com/2009%20fit%20accessories.pdf
Honda Fit Accessories - Genuine 2009 Honda Fit Interior Accessories
http://www.collegehillshonda.com/sto...lshiftknob.jpg

but couldn't get an answer on compatibility from Bernardi. I emailed college hills but no answer yet.
Unless the threads are different I don't see why it won't fit. Bernardi's pat answer, I guess, is "it says 09 only".
Anyway good luck on any such compatibility list.

It seems like there's a lot of defensiveness about the '09 redesign...Just saying that I personally don't like it doesn't mean I think the car is crap. I knew the minute I saw the pictures that to my eyes, the Fit had now turned into a completely different car (that's my opinion and judgment). For many people, that new front end will be the shizz. For me, it sucks. Notice I said FOR ME! Not that "Anyone who buys this new Fit is a total idiot with zero brain cells," or "The new Fit design sucks b@lls." Just that I personally do not care for it, and would not buy it, which is why I scoured the entire South and Midwest for an '08.

I do not understand why just giving an opinion is considered "hating." Lighten up, dudes, and go buy yourself the car your love. I have!!!

When put like that, I fully understand, but the way some have said things has not been "I feel that...." it has been "Look, this is the way it is, my cars better than the new one, and its not an opinion its a fact!" which is really ridiculous. Then add on people are complaining about things that arent even correct....

Anyway, thanks for putting your opinion out there, I like to hear peoples opinions. Personaly, I hate the nose, but am buying the car for other reasons.

Thanks. I don't care for the 09 nose, but after its modded I think it should get better for me.

I like the new doorsills. Wonder if the dimensions are the same?

yeah, i don't want this to turn into like ClubSi. when the EP3 Si came out, everyone on ClubSi was bashing it saying that the EM1 was better in every way. And I think the EP3 is a beautiful machine. So I'm willing to give the new Fit it's chance to shine. It's just not to my particular taste cosmetically.

I would like to add, the GE8 at Rock Honda said 100% Japan origin. So definitely JDM. Personal opinions on what "looks" JDM are up to you of course.

This is like the Evo 8/9 guys when the Evo 10 came out...

while i do agree that i don't want it to become like that either, there is a difference:

the new fit is an IMPROVEMENT in peformance over the gd3, unlike the ep3 was. the ep3 had the interior part down pat, but the performance was not superior.

"reviews" > professional track testing.... yep

Better equipped? I would expect at least a driver's armrest and a dead pedal on a $18k+ econocar...

I'm not saying its a bad car, MY PERSONAL OPINION IS its uglier and overall not better than the old one.

BTW let's stay civil and keep the little personal attacks to ourselves
if thats the case, why did you settle for an 16k ecnocar without them?

now we're getting off topic...
but, with a 90% stiffer chassis and more torque, i like the EP3. the EM1 is a nice car too, the B16 is a rad engine, i just prefer the EP3.
