Quick Review by me: Sport AT w/ NAVI
Quick Review by me: Sport AT w/ NAVI
I testdrove a Sport AT NAVI today. The transmission is pretty good...it downshifts quickly but upshifts are slightly slower. The ride is pretty good...not too bouncy for such a short wheelbase. The front seats are very nice...comfy and supportive. Interior materials and fit are excellent...however, i do wish that Honda put some padding where your elbow rests on the doors. The stereo sounds pretty good...the upward firing tweeters do a decent job of spreading the stage/image. Bass was pretty good for a system without subwoofer. The rear seat is comfy and practical, but there is no way that 5 people can fit in the Fit. The feeling inside is spectacular...it feels like my Sienna inside...very airy! The car handled very well. The steering feel is OK on-center but very progressive and excellent overall.
The only thing negative is that it has some wind and road noise. It is on par with my '05 Corolla...maybe a tiny bit better but not much. Brakes are a bit mushy initially but i don't mind at all. The storage space under the driver's side rear bench is too small to be practical. Bluetooth would be a nice addition and i would assume an easy addition since the NAVI has voice command already.
Overall, i think that it is a great little sporty car!! The only major negative FOR ME is the road/wind noise...but then again, i am an old fart because i want a serene Buick ride.

Thanks for the review!
If there's an easy way to add bluetooth (not the kind that clips onto sun viser and needs a battery) to the existing nav I would get it too. How do you do that? On existing Honda nav models w/ bluetooth, the bluetooth buttons (talk, hangup) are seperate from nav voice controls.

Nice review.
though, i was able to fit 5 adults on my fit. 3 slim adults were able to fit in the rear seat. it was comfortable enough for about 3 hours of driving, but i wouldn't recommend any trips longer than that.

Good review. Where in Texas are you? I haven't seen any Fits with navigation yet at the 3 dealers I have visited. I drove an AT without the Nav and I did not notice any appreciable wind or road noise. Of course I only have my 07 Fit to compare it to and it was much better than that.
Ahhh...good idea.

As for BT and NAVI, i am sure that there are separate buttons for the BT on other Honda models. (It is the same case for my Sienna JBL/NAVI unit.) But, the microphone and setup are there already...so, BT could be integrated from factory easily i would assume. (Note: i am assuming here.)
Hey Thai, look at here: Scosche Industries : Car Audio Accessories, iPod Accessories, Bluetooth Wireless Accessories, EFX Hyperformance, Accumat Sound Damping, Soundkase audio backpacks, CD and DVD storage systems
This company makes bluetooth unit that can integrate w/ factory navi unit. It has Honda logo on it so I assume it would work w/ Honda navi. However, it didn't say anything about using existing microphone (most navi units are not voice controlled) or steering wheel controls. I guess it's just something that plugs into the aux outlet?

The dealer is Gillman in Rosenberg TX. They only have one...black Sport with AT and NAVI. The wind noise is present, but not bad at all. I don't mind the wind noise aspect because it was only mild (at worst). The road noise depends on road texture. There is a grainy part of Highway 59 near that dealeship that brings out the road noise on all cars, some more so than others. This part of 59 is a good way to compare cars and i found that the Fit was (at best) a tiny bit quieter than my '05 Corolla over this part of the road.

it was awesome. seyed is our salesman...we've bought a couple cars from him before. nice guy
I think yes, I concur. It doesn't telescope either, plus the "tint" in the glass is pretty mild, so BYO sun block when driving this car at dawn and dusk.
According to the manual, yes you can. It seems much like an ipod interface, you can select playlists, artists, albums, songs, and it breaks down from there. You can also do Random Albums, which is good, as it's the only way I listen to my iPod.
