I just can't see paying that price for something you can get for $179 from a place like College Hills Honda and easily install yourself. Same goes for most of the options.

I dunno, the NEW armrest is $179 at collegehills? Hm...why would it be cheaper there than any other dealership?

oh, well couldn't I just get it at Honda's parts dept. and install it myself instead? I'm totally going to trade in. Should get around $14,000 for my Fit and hopefully get this 09 around $17k. If not, screw it. Worth a shot.

I believe College Hills is one of the nation's leading dealers in terms of accessories. I've dealt with them in the past. Their prices are about the lowest anywhere in North America, and they're very very knowledgeable to boot. I'm not sure how much shipping charges would be, but you don't have to pay sales tax (unless OH resident). At the very least, I think it'd be worthwhile to check into it.

I got the all season floor mats for my accord through them. I have to say they were less expensive than any other place I looked.

College Hills chooses to sell the items with less markup, somewhere between their cost and MSRP. They make up for in quantity of sales what they lose by not bleeding every last penny from the customer.

The 09 Fit is really growing on me. I won't get rid of my 07, but maybe I'll get my wife to get a tidewater blue metallic sport. I haven't seen that color in person, but it looks like the very light metallic blue I've seen on Lexus IS250s. Why is factory Nav so expensive on cars? $1850 is over 10% of the price of the Fit.

I think the nav is ridiculously expensive for what you get, and, yes, it's over 10% of the car's overall cost. For some strange reason, Honda chose to bundle VSA and steering wheel mounted controls with the nav, which has me bewildered. Why bundle a safety option (Honda's motto is "safety first") with an overpriced nav unit that can be had on the open market for much less. Sure, it's built in to the center stack, but is that reason enough to shell out that much? In my opinion, the wheel-mounted radio controls should be on all sport models (wouldn't be surprised if it's added next year), as I can't believe the incremental cost would be that much more to include -- most cars today come with this feature, save for a few low budget econo boxes. Let's assume the VSA is a $400 to $600 option, the Honda installed nav is still quite expensive for what you get. Again, these are my humble opinions, as I'm sure Honda has some market research to back up their tactics. Either way, it's still a great car!

I just costed out my accessories...

interior lighting
door sill trim
pedals
body side moldings
door visors

$384 (college hills)

so

16,730 +43 for rear bumper+ 384= 17,157
