Would like to know what is the norm/ average price for console with and without instalation being offered by Honda dealerships

Retail price is $240 (w/o installation). College Hills Honda sells it for $179, but is currently on backorder (supposed to ship out this week though).

 

That would be nice - I just about ordered the entire 2009 Fit Sport accessory list last night! (OK, 12 items - I couldn't stop adding things to my cart!)

I was quoted $288 for the armrest console installed.

$240 is about right for the cost. I think it was listed as such in the accessory manual. I was told the armrest/console wouldn't be available until November 1st.

Oh, btw, I was also quoted that the install for the door visors is $105.

 

most all the accessories are super easy to install. the most you need is a screwdriver. I believe door visors do not even need a screwdriver (confirm anyone?)

So, I'm a bit confused. I believe that this conversation is about what I would call an "armrest" (with storage) that (essentially) attaches into two of the cup holders.

However, I've also seen an entire JDM replacement for what I would call the "console". It includes an armrest (doesn't flip up) as well as the storage area.

Am I correct? There are two different options? Is the armrest a USDM option, and the console is a JDM? Does the USDM stock console have a 12V outlet? Does anybody know if the JDM version has one also?

IMO, the console replacement looks very clean and I'm pretty sure it will be one of the first mods I do when I get my new Fit. But I'm curious why more people don't chose this (or discuss it)? Is there something I don't know about it? Is it just beacause it costs more $? Any feedback?

 

I think you're thinking of the JDM armrest for the 07-08 Fits. It was an entire console, this is just a armrest that attaches to the current console.
