Short canyon cruise.

Short canyon cruise.
Where else better to go for a local canyon carve...Angeles national forest.
The Fit handles very well for the twisties. However, on the uphill portion i tried to pass a minivan... i'm still limiting myself to stay under 3.5k and was unable to pass.... that bastard didn't want me to pass him on the passing lane. oh well...
downhill part (fun!)
i decided enough was enough since i'm still on my first tank of gas and was 1/4 full. I made it to the stop sign parking area on the left (headed northbound,) popped the hood, made sure nothing was smoking, everything was good, tires not hot, etc.
Pull back onto the road. pretty fun since we have an armrest to lean on. i mainly stayed in 3rd and 4th on the way down.
Slight straights, 4th, brake, rev match go to 3rd enter the corner. I was roughly going about 10-15 mph over the yellow suggested speeds. once a couple upgrades happen in the future, (theoretically ) i'm sure i can hit double the posted speed in the corners.
there is approx 220 miles on the car now.
It's so tempting to just go full on, but must resist the urge!!!
on the way up before where i turned around.

Took my 09 up there last weekend. I should've waited for you, lol.
While the car handles great, it's still begging (like the 1st gen) for more roll resistance, and I'm very tempted to get some stiff sidewall summer tires, 205/50/16, which will make the turn in sharper, won't feel like the tires are rolling onto their sidewalls, and there would be even more grip with more stability. I just wonder how much of a FE sacrifice that would be.
Happy Fitting!
