Check in if you bought a fit 08 or 09 in the last 30 days.
Last Wednesday I put down $1000.00 for a 2009 Honda Fit Sport (Milano Red) No Navi. Purchased some accessories from Bernardi online on Friday. I paid retail @ 16060.00, plus $670.00 Freight for total of $16730.00 They got me for $299.00 Documnet Fee (pure BS IMHO) Tax @ 5% $811.50 & lastly $86.00 new plate fee.
I'll pay cash for the tax, documnet & plate fees. I'm doing 24 month loan or I may pony-up & break into my savings & not take a loan all togther. I sold my 2003 Volkswagen GLI (VR6) for $10,500.00 yesterday.
From what I gather, I guess I'm getting off light with paying retail on the Fit! I'm 42 & never paid retail for any car in my life! There is always a 1st.
Anyway...They said 8 weeks for delivery, maybe less if I'm lucky. We'll see. I must admit I was looking @ the Suzuki SX4 Crossover that has a lot more standard features & only cost about $600.00 more. This is really a very cool mini SUV with AWD, 4 Disc Brakes, Standard Navigation. I took it out for a test drive (2.0L DOHC 143HP) about 10 days ago & it was a fun car to drive! The problem? Dealer is 50+ miles away & Suzuki QC isn't on par w/ Honda IMHO. The SX4 Crossover is made in Japan all the same.

I would have considered it, but if I had issues 50+ miles is simply to far away for me. So..enter the Honda Fit! Hope I made the right choice!

Picked up an '09 BSP Sport A/T last week w/o Navi. Paid MSRP unfortunately.
I don't like waiting for a car to come in and me and my fiancee had being waiting for the '09 to come out for a while so I took the chance when I was ready to get it.
Loving the car so far, ordered the Armrest, rubber floor mats, and cargo cover from Bernardi Honda. These accessories are necessities to me.
The Navi one is cool too but at a cost of $1900 it was a bit pricey...IMO.

I picked up my silver sport m/t last night. MSRP, but got totally hosed on a short term trade-in I bought less than two months before from same dealer. It was supposed to be less than renting for a couple months. My old car (2003 HX) got totaled and I needed a gap vehicle. They sold me a low mileage Taurus (2001 w/50K) for $8500 and offered me $3000 for a trade-in. I wound up getting $4500 but figured I could have rented an exotic car for what I loss on the Taurus.
I won't do business with them again.
I love the Fit. I had ordered BSP but settled for the silver cause I was tired of waiting.

I picked mine up on Tuesday (9/30/08). 09 Tidewater Blue Sport A/T w/Nav. Just a side note for others, but we picked up some accessories (center console and back cover) and installed them ourselves. It can help save some $.
I'm also curious, where do you pick up your OEM accessories? We picked ours up at the dealership (slightly above MSRP) but looking online, we found handaaccessories.com and are thinking of picking up a few more things there (below MSRP).

Thanks! Those are slightly better priced and outside my state...
We still want to pick up all-season floor mats, cargo tray, and door sills. We installed the center console and back cover earlier today. Great husband/wife time.

Bought my Orange Rev 5AT Sport on 9/28 and love it! Had knee surgery 3 days later. Husband has enjoyed driving it since then! My daughter calls it our little pumpkin. It looks like our Ridgeline had a baby.
Bought two on the same day...
Took my 6 year old with me to the Honda dealer.
We took a Civic for a test drive. Ho hum.
Took one of two Fits they had for a drive. Orange AT Sport. Yippie!
By 6 PM that day we were picking up two Fits, the orange sport and the tidewater base model...the last two they had.
Bottom line on the window sticker (MSRP + Destination) plus tax and tags and that's it. Got them to throw in Honda keyless entry and security for the base model. I'll be getting all weather mats at cost if they ever show up... they're telling me a month's wait.
But enjoying the Fits immensely.
