New forum member. Howdy.
I picked up my silver Sport about three weeks ago. I ordered a manual tranny and had to wait for about six weeks before it showed up. I wanted the Tafetta White, but I needed the car so I told my salesmen that I'd take anything other than purple, orange or red.
I love the car. Everything I need and very little I don't. I'm pleased with the handling, acceleration and braking, although they could all stand to be improved. A nice lightweight set of wheels like the Volk T1s with some good rubber should improve the braking and handling, some suspension upgrades are in order, and an intake/catback would offer a more pleasing induction growl/exhaust note although any noticeable performance gains will probably be negligible.
Sweet little car! I've fallen in love.

I picked up my silver sport AT Wednesday Nov. 5th, in Bangor. It's a terrific little car and I really appreciated the education I received on this Forum prior to my purchase. I was able to save a lot of money on the extended warranty and I learned from many posts on here, that the '09 had features not available on the '08 model which I first tested out in the early summer. It is definately worth the wait! Again thanks to all who share useful information about Honda Fits so freely!
I'm in Oregon, waiting on my Fit, too...
Thanks,
Nov 6, 2008 picked up my first Honda.
Black Fit, DX-A, MT... Added the rear tailgate spoiler, USB adapter, Fit all season floor mats and trunk liner.
I'm already thinking about trading in my Fit and a new one in a few years I love it that much!

hey climatologist, don't know about the rims but love your quotes...one reason I'm going back for another degree! And a big reason I got a new Fit is because of my concern for climate and the environment...my '99 Acura TL got only 22-25 MPG and the new Fit is getting 38-40 MPG, plus it's a ULEV so my carbon footprint is smaller too! I think every new vehicle sold in US should be REQUIRED to have the MPG gauge so everyone could see how and what they're driving affects fuel consumption...if every American drove a car/truck that got 30+ MPG we won't have to invade any more oil rich countries!!!
