Chemical smell with A/C?

Anyone else with a sweet chemical smell coming from the vents from the A/C? I assume it's the refrigerant and I even like the smell, but I'm a little concerned that it's toxic. I've never smelled anything like this from an A/C before.

I had the same thing in my older GD Jazz when it was brand new, I dare say its one of those "wearing in" things because it did eventually go away in mine, I de-odorized the air con pretty much after the smell went away and its never come back.

On my new GE Jazz though, havent noticed the smell at all so not really sure what the cause is and why it effects some but not others.

Shouldn't be toxic if its inhaled, just nauseating.
