Monroe MA793 for air shocks 2009. Right length. You have to sleeve the bottom bolt - then it mounts as easy as the 811's for the 2008.

How do adjust them? with a manual hand air pump?

My Road King has air shocks on the read, there's a little hand pump and pressure gauge use to set the suspension.

I wonder whether a dedicated air shock thread might be warranted.

txmatt pointed out this LED brake light insert Oval L.E.D. Brake Light Trailer Hitch Receiver Cover CR-017 : Trailer hitch bike rack and trailer hitches - etrailer.com which might have some value when the bike rack (or whatver) is not in use.

ooooh Murphy's Law.. gotcha.

Yeah it would have been nice to fit a full piece of sheetrock in the Fit, as occasionally I do have to carry construction supplies. Or on other occasions when I need to bring out more equipment for gigs, a small box trailer would be nice. So I definately gotta look into those Monroes

I don't know if I wanna attempt the replacement of the springs myself, I might just buy them and have my mechanic friend install them. Although reading that DIY, I think I can do it myself, but what does "sleeve the bottom bolt" mean?
Thanks for the verification on the part #, +reps for ya too.
Does this void any warranty as it is not factory shocks?

I think I'm gonna probably use this Large Square LED Brake and Tail Light Trailer Hitch Cover with Reflector Technology on the hitch more than anything else, and pretend I'm driving a F1 car. Now I'm thinking I should have gone with the Auto instead of manual for the ~F1 style paddles.. lolol.. Not!!
I do like the square LED hitch cover a lot though!!!! I just gotta remove it if I park on the street, or it will definately get hit.

I like to look of the light a lot. . .
The only downside of that light is that you'll have hooked up "a trailer lighting kit." Since Honda doesn't recommend towing with the Fit, they'll be able to claim you were towing something larger than a bike rack, and try to deny warranty claims.

The argument could go the other way as well... you thought the light was cool and the only way you could make it work was to hook up the trailer/light wiring kit.

Thanks for posting those up. This is the first I have seen the recommended max tow weight for without using trailer brakes.

992lbs without the brakes

For those worried about warranty issues for a towing hitch, i remember someone saying if there are no lights hooked up they are more ready to believe it is a bike rack not a trailer hitch...thunder...your opinions may vary
